Hardware Warranty Policy

We build hardware for robotics, and we know that robotics is chaotic. Our warranty is designed to be fair, simple, and supportive of teams.

Manufacturing warranty

If your Marigold-5 has a factory defect, Larkspur Industries will replace it.

Covered defects include:

• Dead-on-arrival units
• PCB component failure under normal load
• Factory soldering defects
• PCB or case assembly errors

Coverage period: 90 days from delivery.
Resolution: A replacement unit shipped at no cost to you.

FRC reality exclusions

The manufacturing warranty does not cover damage caused by installation errors or field abuse, including:

• Short circuits caused by stray wire strands, metal debris, or bridged terminals
• Physical damage such as crushed cases, drilled PCBs, or collision damage
• Modifications including soldering directly to the PCB outside the provided terminals or removing components

Crash replacement program

We know mistakes happen

If a student or team accidentally destroys one of our products through overheating, metal shavings, or another build-season mishap, we will not leave you stranded.

We will provide a code for 15% off one replacement unit. Email a photo, a description of what happened, and the original order number to [email protected].

Right to repair

Opening the case does not void your warranty

Students are encouraged to inspect the PCB and learn how their hardware works. The warranty is only affected if the device is damaged while being opened, inspected, or modified.

Disconnect power before opening

Never open a Larkspur Industries product while it is operating or connected to power. Energized components can cause short circuits, equipment damage, and burns. Disconnect all power and allow the product to cool before opening the enclosure or touching internal components.
