How is Marigold-5 different from a typical automotive 12V-to-5V converter?

Section titled “How is Marigold-5 different from a typical automotive 12V-to-5V converter?”

Many automotive and general-purpose converters require an 8-9V minimum input. An FRC battery can sag to 6-7V during a demanding match, which may cause those converters to lose regulation and reboot a co-processor. Marigold-5 is designed to maintain its regulated 5.1V output down to a 6V input and provides mounting and wiring intended for competition robots.

Preorders will close when all 120 units are reserved. We will then announce the next batch when its production and shipping schedule is confirmed.
